In addition to providing automatic samplers, Teledyne ISCO will provide training and troubleshooting services to each recipient small utility. Details on Teledyne ISCO’s samplers and Teledyne ISCO are at teledyneisco.com/water-and-wastewater.

According to WEF’s Invitation to Small Communities to Participate in Automatic Sampler Supply, Training, and Troubleshooting Program, at least 225 utilities will be supplied with an autosampler and training. “Participation in wastewater surveillance to date has skewed toward larger, well-resourced utilities,” the invitation states. “These resources include but are not limited to continuous in-situ monitors and automatic samplers. WEF and the CDC would like to expand the program to a wider array of wastewater treatment plants serving diverse populations.

By providing new, automatic samplers at no cost to at least 225 small utilites, this project aims to increase participation in wastewater surveillance by smaller, rural, and tribal communities and, therefore, expand access to this effective public health surveillance tool."
