What problem did you need to solve?
We needed a way to do high throughput, high resolution purification, required for the synthesis of drug-like molecules.
How was the problem addressed?
I reached out to Lisa Sargeant, the Teledyne contact for the University, explained our needs and the budget available. Lisa promptly replied. She explained our options and asked targeted questions, through which we determined the
ACCQPrep® HP150 preparative HPLC system with add-ons was the right choice.
The instrument was delivered and Lisa set it up, ran controls and trained the team — all in the same day.
From a technical viewpoint, the focus gradient aspect of the ACCQPrep HP150 is amazing and a great addition to our lab. We don’t have dedicated analytical chemists and we do have a different LCMS system, so being able to do purifications easily with minimal optimization is excellent! I think we have value combined with a simple and easy to use interface. I like that we can add parts as the needs of the group change and these additions easily fit into the system we have.

Lisa Sargeant has been an excellent Teledyne contact, addressing all our needs in a timely and considerate fashion. Her technical knowledge is highly valued, she is timely, prompt, friendly and approachable. Lisa demonstrated empathy for our situation at the University with respect to budget and experience around the department and tailored her advice and training accordingly.
After-care service has been great. Having the overlap of Lisa being both expert and sales rep has helped the process, ensures we have bought the correct kit for the needs of the group and have ongoing support all through the same Teledyne contact.
How have you benefited from the process?
The ACCQPrep has saved time and resulted in an increase in the production of drug-like molecules with high levels of purity. The training and simplicity of the user interface works well for the university environment, where we have various levels of experience in purification. With Lisa being so prompt to answer our emails, it’s like we have dedicated support for this system from Teledyne ISCO as well.
